ytd went out to celeb my bdae! but the greatest part of the day got to be the beginning and hte ending..hahaha. Got a big surprise in the morn, as my hse got raided by mag n kok!! at 11+ mag appeared b4 my door, using her finger to cover the peek-hole (wad do u call tt thing??), and i was v skeptical abt opening the door, cos mama says, cannot open door to strangers, somemore this stranger purposely dun wan to be seen which is even dangerouss!! den, i heard a voice saying: she dun wan to open the door leh.. hahhaha. tt gave her away la, was quite surprised already..n when i open the door, i only see her alone, so i thot she was talking on the phone w kok, n kok told me many many times tt she gotta work ytd and can only join for dinner. So, after i let mag enter, i juz locked the door, and den kok appeared~ faints..hahhahaha.

they bought pasta mania for lunch, when the day b4 mag still say go settler's cafe for lunch..haaa. ok, according to mag, they initally wanted to buy stuffs and cook here (attempting to burn my kitchen in the process i guess), but time was too tight..hahahaha. yea, so had lunch at my hse, and kok gave us the souvenirs she bought in HK. Mag, the chief organiser, den said settlers was cancelled becos the rest cant make it, and so we are heading to kbox instead..lol.

it doesnt matter how many ppl pei me, its the ppl that is the most impt! so still had fun at kbox w the 2 butaz, and sang some quite jing dian songs, songs u may nv hear in a million yrs, but u ll still noe how to sing automatically..hahahhaa. N made us feel old..LoL. oh ya, n one of the person whom took drinks orders from us asked if we were 18 when we wanted to order alcoholic drinks..faints la. 18 abit kua zhang leh..haaaaaa

dinner was at waraku w the rest of the jc clique, and had a dark choc cake from rive gauche. the cake had a layer of biscuit at the bottom, which was v crispy and niceee..yummy yummy!

last activity was the chilling out at acid bar! there was an acoustic singer tt nite, so the atmosphere was not bad, n we played some guessing games..hahaha. this time round, we ordered baileys irish cream for the 1 for 1 promo..i prefer the one i drank quite some time ago at my cousin hse..haaaa. this one was too creamy.

had a fun time! and THKS mag n kok! really happy n quite touched k, though it doesnt show on my face. wad to do, i cant control my facial expressions leh..hahahah.

last fri (14/12) had dinner celeb w uni frens too! went spageddies at marina square..food was v nice too!! (OMG, i have been eating n eating, w/o much detoxification). but i 4gt to take pics..hahahha. though julia din join us, me n ys still bumped into her at xin wang cafe when we had our desserts there..haaaaaa. desserts were nice too!! mangoes mangoes mangoes!! hahahaha

sat (15/12) went out for dinner w my family, and on the way back, my dad drove us to buy the v famous rochor beancurd. So qiao again, i bumped into jl when me n bro were leaving the place..haaaaaaa. beancurd was vvvvv smooth n silky..oh man, i m missing it again! hahahaah

after attending the resume writing and professional imaging course for 3 days over the week, i tink gg for an acting class seems to be more appropriate. @ interviews, u have to present urself in a way to fit their crieria, and do it all almost perfectly - little signs of nervousness, appropriate body languages, gestures, sitting posture, language, with an ever present power smile which shd best look natural, n not plastered on. @ networking sessions, u be friendly, sociable, and say things which will let the other party leave a good impression of u.

or perhaps its juz that i dont have the qualities required, which is y i find that its actually an acting session, being someone not really me.

went cafe iguana last fri to celeb nana bdae..well, it was my 1st time there. hmm, abit on the noiser side, but i guess usually open spaced place is noiser, n the whole place was v packed! food was ok but i cant rem the names of the food we ordered, except fajita..hahahaa. the rest are all out of my memory. there was 50% discount for drinks ordered b4 9pm and after 12 pm, so we ordered a jug of black berry margarita and one vv big glass of mango margarita to share. i prefer the mango one..hahha, but the price was quite ex..w/o the 50% discount, the jug of margarita (poured into 7 servings for each of us) would cost abt $110. faintsss. hahahha.

right..now shd i confess abt the chou shi me n kok encountered (note: not me only). err..i will juz make it short n sweet..its not every now and den u get chou shi rite, so its worth to be remembered..LOL. me n kok were supposed to go buy the cake and den reach the place at 7, while the rest joined us after they ktv session. the 2 v clever ppl, were not sure of the correct exit to go out at the mrt station and ta dah~~! we saw them outside the mrt station! yesh, the grp of ppl whom we were only supposed to see at the cafe, not at the mrt station..lol. but luckily tam and mag reacted quite quickly and diverted nana attention to the display inside the shop beside them..hahhaha.

my reaction was quite funny la, cos i suddenly duno wad to do. tried to hide the cake behind kok, while i ask her so now wad? den we went to hide. so fun..hahhaha. n my phone rang! cafe person called to say they ll only reserve the seats for only 5 more mins. right..den we juz ran..lolllll. ran away from them and to the cafe..LOL. quite lang bei.. duno y i always have to 'run' when i m with kok, either chase the bus, mrt, traffic light, or now run away from them..hahhaha.

the mango margarita! such a big glass~! have a bitter after taste, which i described as abit similar to like theres mango skin being blended..haha. but i still like the bitter sweet taste

birthday girl ! smile~. ok, y is the candle not lit? its not becos theres no lighter (we went to specially buy a lighter cos no one rem to bring from home AGAIN). its becos the wind from the fan on top was tooooo biggggggg!! even if the fire from the lighter is not blown off, the fire can only remain on the candle for 1 sec.

i oso cant rem the name of this..its fish, but its so hard, it tasted like chicken. den theres rice n black beans at the side.

today went to the jobs central career fair at suntec with ys and chris. but nth much la, finish walking ard in mayb ard 1.5hrs only..hah. So, i m still in the midst of searching for wad i wan. no actually, i noe wad i wan, but its impractical n i ll die of hunger..LOL. so muz look for 2nd best alternative..hahahah.

anyway, on the way back from suntec to mrt i saw kok..wah, v scary cos we were sms-ing awhile ago, n suddenly see her..lol. but u shd noe i m in suntec area la, since i mention donuts, juz that u duno i was gg home while u were juz gg to meet ur fren only..LOL

sun woke up at 645am to go ah ma hse to bai bai for ah gong's death anniversary. It has already been 2 years, time juz flies so fast. due to the customs, we din eat any tang yuan during the past 2 yrs, and hence there was a HUGE demand for ah ma's tang yuan. oh man, it juz taste so delicious - soft on the outside, and very Q on the whole, simple yet authentic. One of the wonder of home-made recipes~. I had 2 bowls of it! hahahaha. well, most of us had 2 bowls so I m not being greedy..hahahha.

celebrated kok's bdae on the 29th ! had dinner at ichiban boshi @ suntec, and dearest mag bought cake at bakerinz first b4 queueing for dinner cos we couldnt get a reservation. seems as though i nv contribute anything, but actually, i was doing the most impt task kkkk..i was the bodyguard for the birthday gal and kept her company the whole afternoon!! hahahahahaha

8 of us ordered a whole table FULL of food, such that the waitress had a lil trouble putting all the food on the table..hahahha. but i liked the beef soup, baked mushrooms with butter, soba and sashmi best!! oops, i tink i listed most of the food already..lolz

cake was banana walnut, initially i thot the flavour was abit weird, but it tastes gd..hahahah. goes to show that bakerinz cakes are really good..lol. since the bdae gal cant possibly be the cut-cake aunty of the day, I have to take over her!! wasnt skilled at cutting the cake though..hhahaha. And we finished the cake!! oh ya, dear mag 4gt to buy lighter/matches to light the candles. somehow its always neglected, cos me and kok 4gt to buy too for mag birthdae too. but its actually the most impt item! hahaha. luckily we managed to borrow from the restaurant =D

left ichiban at ard 10pm, ah mei headed home first, and the rest of us decided to go xin wang cafe at marina sq to slack and chat. And erm, we ordered drinks, porridge and toast (food again!!) during our 3+ hrs there..haahha.

fell down in sch today!! oh man, i tink shd be quite embarrassing, but den i erm, sort of used to it liao, though i tink i haven fell in public for quite long..LOL. Fell while walking up stairs at the bridge leading to outside LT1A there, and i tink there is a group of ppl behind me becos i saw 2 179 at the busstop. but i stood up almost immediately after the fall, and juz walked to a nearby chair before checking my knee..hhahaha. and my new handphone got a scratch!! ZZzz. Nv bleed but theres scratches and vv big bruise on my right knee..PAIN !!!

went to IMM cafe cartel for a late lunch today..i had a beef stew w rice, and the rice was v little! so i ordered another rice from the waitress who seems to give a "troubled" look. i dun believe no other customers ever ordered extra rice! HA. anyway, the rice cost $1.50!! even after 30% student discount, its still $1..v expensive!

quite broke recently..wonder where is all my money spent on?!

its aug already! cant believe sch will be starting next wk!! gosh~ will have to be tortured by GYS soon again!!

after much consideration and analysis, we have decided to close the stall next fri, which means last day will be on 9 aug (wad a significant day..lol). haiz..quite sad abt it, but 长痛不如短痛, its really best to stop operation given the numerous obstacles and situation. during this 11 wks i have really quite alot of things, and noe doing biz is really not easy at all, more difficult den wad we really expected. n it really takes up alot of energy, so do biz cant be a part-time thingy at least until a system is set in place.

now that we have decided to stop, we had to inform the regular customers abt it, which was v difficult..haha.. duno how to tell them abt it. ytd nite a gal who always buy summer snow came down to buy desserts again, n when i told her we ll be closing next wk, the response she gave: huh, y? ahhhh, made me n kx felt so sad. some might tink we were juz 'playing', but of cos we arenot. i wouldn't have spent so much time n effort if i was juz playing..can do so much other things during the hols. but some customers also tink we shd focus on our studies first, n tink abt doing biz after we graduate..haa.

lalala~ last thurs went to celeb tam and mag's bdae! went to california pizza kitchen (correct?) at forum shopping mall, which to me was quite a ulu place..walked quite long w kok to reach the place cos we went to paragon to get the cake first, n went 7-11 to buy a lighter for the cake..hahah. the pizza there was not bad..we ordered one w avocado one, which doesnt looks nice..but it taste great! even better den the other pizza we ordered. i tink the other pizza tt we ordered was burnt, tts y not v nice.

17/6 - went to 龙王洞 to see a natural cave, which was abt 1+ hr walk. looks like those wu xia shows cave scenes..lol. the temp inside the cave is v weird..during summer it ll be cold like ard 18 deg, but during winter, it ll be warm. so plus the rain, it was quite cold inside. went to other tourist attractions with more mountains, and yuan jia jie also. but as it rained almost the whole day, we could only mainly see clouds on top of the mountain..lol. we waited for some time there, hoping tt there would be v strong wind to blow the clouds and mist away..n it really did! so we got to view the scenery for 2-3 secs..LOL! there was a place called 十里画廊(ten mile gallery)..at first i really thot we were gg an arts gallery, turns out tt we ll be taking a tram and see the scenery along the way..hahaa.


18/6 - last day at zhang jia jie! had breakfast and set off at 8+am. first went to a 土家妹 shop selling their local specialties. Next went to Dr. Tea to try their different types of local tea. Also went to an art gallery (real one now), which displays drawings by a local famous artist. he used stones found on the hills of zhang jia jie and grind them into sand and den used the different colours of the sand to draw. the drawings all looks v real! amazing!!


went for lunch which was mushrooms pot..yummy~ especially with their noodles..muahha. den was the long long journey to 宜昌 for us to take ship to cruise the yangtze river. the rain delayed the bus journey, and by the time we reached the harbour to take ship it was already ard 9pm. on the bus, the tour guide taught us to sing 山歌, their folk songs, and she chose ppl to go to the front of the bus to sing la! me n bro both got 'chosen'. our tour grp was actually quite small..15 ppl only, with 4 children (including meeee..lol). the other 2 children were 11 and 15 yrs old..n the rest were parents and 2 grandparents. so actually all of us got along quite well la.

19/6 - woke up at 6+ again, for breakfast at 730am. for the 3 days on ship, the breakfast serve almost the same food..zzz. but the soup noodles was v tasty..n i got sick of eating eggs..lol. there was only 70+ ppl on board, and we had fixed seats inside the restaurant. we split into 2 tables, and had one waiter assigned to serve juz our 2 tables. the rest of the passengers were from shen zhen, and HK. the service was vv good..asked for our comments after each meals. for lunch, we had 豆沙包 as one of the dish, which was vv delicious! so we told the waiter, and he said he could change one of the dish, which doesnt taste as nice, to dou sha bao tml lunch..wahh! lol. again, we had lots of dishes for lunch and dinner on the ship also. even more than prev days, because they have many more appetizers b4 the main course..haa. oh, after breakfast, we disembark and went on shore to view the dam. bro din join us cos he was sick!

after lunch, went to the deck to see how the ship sail past the 闸门. the ships have to go thru 5 of these because the difference in water levels on the upstream and downstream were too great. so the ships have to go inside and den close the gates for the water level to be raised, and go thru to the other zha men n so on. the whole process to go thru 5 gates took abt 3hrs.

20/6 - after breakfast disembark and changed to a smaller boat to view the 小山峡..shd be valley ba. as the morn was quite cold, there was a layer of fog on top of the lake..wooo..beautiful! hahaha. went back for lunch, and funny..the waiter was abit paiseh, cos the chef said tt they dun have enough red bean paste to make the buns and he apologised to us..haa. at nite there was a game 'party', and for all games there was always at least one rep from each place..haa. me n bro played 2 of the games also. one was we had to place a balloon between our backs and den turn ard to make the balloon between our stomachs n den burst it. the other was solo where we had to throw rings ard a bottle.

21/6 - last day on cruise! disembark to view valley again in the morn, den slack in the aftnn. they always arrange programs, but some of the programs are quite bored la..so i rather go up to the deck..hahah. if not stay inside rm n slack n watch movies..they have movies marathons on board..haa. den at nite was free karaoke time. we juz sit and chat la.

22/6 - last day at china! haa. spent the day at chong qing..but the tour guide was not gd at all la. we had few hrs to shop in the aftnn, den dinner was their famous chong qing ma la huo guo. erm..i dun really like it la..haa. too numb for my liking..haa. the spicy part was still ok, but i dun like it when my tongue was numb..haa. at nite went to see their nite scenery which wasnt as great as wad the guide said. n we din even view it on a higher level or sth..it was juz by a road side, which we can see the yangtze river and buildings w nice lightings. reached the airport at 11pm to fly home!
