today went to the jobs central career fair at suntec with ys and chris. but nth much la, finish walking ard in mayb ard 1.5hrs only..hah. So, i m still in the midst of searching for wad i wan. no actually, i noe wad i wan, but its impractical n i ll die of hunger..LOL. so muz look for 2nd best alternative..hahahah.
anyway, on the way back from suntec to mrt i saw kok..wah, v scary cos we were sms-ing awhile ago, n suddenly see her..lol. but u shd noe i m in suntec area la, since i mention donuts, juz that u duno i was gg home while u were juz gg to meet ur fren only..LOL

sun woke up at 645am to go ah ma hse to bai bai for ah gong's death anniversary. It has already been 2 years, time juz flies so fast. due to the customs, we din eat any tang yuan during the past 2 yrs, and hence there was a HUGE demand for ah ma's tang yuan. oh man, it juz taste so delicious - soft on the outside, and very Q on the whole, simple yet authentic. One of the wonder of home-made recipes~. I had 2 bowls of it! hahahaha. well, most of us had 2 bowls so I m not being greedy..hahahha.

celebrated kok's bdae on the 29th ! had dinner at ichiban boshi @ suntec, and dearest mag bought cake at bakerinz first b4 queueing for dinner cos we couldnt get a reservation. seems as though i nv contribute anything, but actually, i was doing the most impt task kkkk..i was the bodyguard for the birthday gal and kept her company the whole afternoon!! hahahahahaha
8 of us ordered a whole table FULL of food, such that the waitress had a lil trouble putting all the food on the table..hahahha. but i liked the beef soup, baked mushrooms with butter, soba and sashmi best!! oops, i tink i listed most of the food already..lolz
cake was banana walnut, initially i thot the flavour was abit weird, but it tastes gd..hahahah. goes to show that bakerinz cakes are really good..lol. since the bdae gal cant possibly be the cut-cake aunty of the day, I have to take over her!! wasnt skilled at cutting the cake though..hhahaha. And we finished the cake!! oh ya, dear mag 4gt to buy lighter/matches to light the candles. somehow its always neglected, cos me and kok 4gt to buy too for mag birthdae too. but its actually the most impt item! hahaha. luckily we managed to borrow from the restaurant =D
left ichiban at ard 10pm, ah mei headed home first, and the rest of us decided to go xin wang cafe at marina sq to slack and chat. And erm, we ordered drinks, porridge and toast (food again!!) during our 3+ hrs there..haahha.

fell down in sch today!! oh man, i tink shd be quite embarrassing, but den i erm, sort of used to it liao, though i tink i haven fell in public for quite long..LOL. Fell while walking up stairs at the bridge leading to outside LT1A there, and i tink there is a group of ppl behind me becos i saw 2 179 at the busstop. but i stood up almost immediately after the fall, and juz walked to a nearby chair before checking my knee..hhahaha. and my new handphone got a scratch!! ZZzz. Nv bleed but theres scratches and vv big bruise on my right knee..PAIN !!!
went to IMM cafe cartel for a late lunch today..i had a beef stew w rice, and the rice was v little! so i ordered another rice from the waitress who seems to give a "troubled" look. i dun believe no other customers ever ordered extra rice! HA. anyway, the rice cost $1.50!! even after 30% student discount, its still $1..v expensive!

went to IMM cafe cartel for a late lunch today..i had a beef stew w rice, and the rice was v little! so i ordered another rice from the waitress who seems to give a "troubled" look. i dun believe no other customers ever ordered extra rice! HA. anyway, the rice cost $1.50!! even after 30% student discount, its still $1..v expensive!

its aug already! cant believe sch will be starting next wk!! gosh~ will have to be tortured by GYS soon again!!
after much consideration and analysis, we have decided to close the stall next fri, which means last day will be on 9 aug (wad a significant day..lol). haiz..quite sad abt it, but 长痛不如短痛, its really best to stop operation given the numerous obstacles and situation. during this 11 wks i have really quite alot of things, and noe doing biz is really not easy at all, more difficult den wad we really expected. n it really takes up alot of energy, so do biz cant be a part-time thingy at least until a system is set in place.
now that we have decided to stop, we had to inform the regular customers abt it, which was v difficult..haha.. duno how to tell them abt it. ytd nite a gal who always buy summer snow came down to buy desserts again, n when i told her we ll be closing next wk, the response she gave: huh, y? ahhhh, made me n kx felt so sad. some might tink we were juz 'playing', but of cos we arenot. i wouldn't have spent so much time n effort if i was juz playing..can do so much other things during the hols. but some customers also tink we shd focus on our studies first, n tink abt doing biz after we graduate..haa.

lalala~ last thurs went to celeb tam and mag's bdae! went to california pizza kitchen (correct?) at forum shopping mall, which to me was quite a ulu place..walked quite long w kok to reach the place cos we went to paragon to get the cake first, n went 7-11 to buy a lighter for the cake..hahah. the pizza there was not bad..we ordered one w avocado one, which doesnt looks nice..but it taste great! even better den the other pizza we ordered. i tink the other pizza tt we ordered was burnt, tts y not v nice.

17/6 - went to 龙王洞 to see a natural cave, which was abt 1+ hr walk. looks like those wu xia shows cave scenes..lol. the temp inside the cave is v weird..during summer it ll be cold like ard 18 deg, but during winter, it ll be warm. so plus the rain, it was quite cold inside. went to other tourist attractions with more mountains, and yuan jia jie also. but as it rained almost the whole day, we could only mainly see clouds on top of the mountain..lol. we waited for some time there, hoping tt there would be v strong wind to blow the clouds and mist away..n it really did! so we got to view the scenery for 2-3 secs..LOL! there was a place called 十里画廊(ten mile gallery)..at first i really thot we were gg an arts gallery, turns out tt we ll be taking a tram and see the scenery along the way..hahaa.
18/6 - last day at zhang jia jie! had breakfast and set off at 8+am. first went to a 土家妹 shop selling their local specialties. Next went to Dr. Tea to try their different types of local tea. Also went to an art gallery (real one now), which displays drawings by a local famous artist. he used stones found on the hills of zhang jia jie and grind them into sand and den used the different colours of the sand to draw. the drawings all looks v real! amazing!!
went for lunch which was mushrooms pot..yummy~ especially with their noodles..muahha. den was the long long journey to 宜昌 for us to take ship to cruise the yangtze river. the rain delayed the bus journey, and by the time we reached the harbour to take ship it was already ard 9pm. on the bus, the tour guide taught us to sing 山歌, their folk songs, and she chose ppl to go to the front of the bus to sing la! me n bro both got 'chosen'. our tour grp was actually quite small..15 ppl only, with 4 children (including meeee..lol). the other 2 children were 11 and 15 yrs old..n the rest were parents and 2 grandparents. so actually all of us got along quite well la.
19/6 - woke up at 6+ again, for breakfast at 730am. for the 3 days on ship, the breakfast serve almost the same food..zzz. but the soup noodles was v tasty..n i got sick of eating eggs..lol. there was only 70+ ppl on board, and we had fixed seats inside the restaurant. we split into 2 tables, and had one waiter assigned to serve juz our 2 tables. the rest of the passengers were from shen zhen, and HK. the service was vv good..asked for our comments after each meals. for lunch, we had 豆沙包 as one of the dish, which was vv delicious! so we told the waiter, and he said he could change one of the dish, which doesnt taste as nice, to dou sha bao tml lunch..wahh! lol. again, we had lots of dishes for lunch and dinner on the ship also. even more than prev days, because they have many more appetizers b4 the main course..haa. oh, after breakfast, we disembark and went on shore to view the dam. bro din join us cos he was sick!
after lunch, went to the deck to see how the ship sail past the 闸门. the ships have to go thru 5 of these because the difference in water levels on the upstream and downstream were too great. so the ships have to go inside and den close the gates for the water level to be raised, and go thru to the other zha men n so on. the whole process to go thru 5 gates took abt 3hrs.
20/6 - after breakfast disembark and changed to a smaller boat to view the 小山峡..shd be valley ba. as the morn was quite cold, there was a layer of fog on top of the lake..wooo..beautiful! hahaha. went back for lunch, and funny..the waiter was abit paiseh, cos the chef said tt they dun have enough red bean paste to make the buns and he apologised to us..haa. at nite there was a game 'party', and for all games there was always at least one rep from each place..haa. me n bro played 2 of the games also. one was we had to place a balloon between our backs and den turn ard to make the balloon between our stomachs n den burst it. the other was solo where we had to throw rings ard a bottle.
21/6 - last day on cruise! disembark to view valley again in the morn, den slack in the aftnn. they always arrange programs, but some of the programs are quite bored la..so i rather go up to the deck..hahah. if not stay inside rm n slack n watch movies..they have movies marathons on board..haa. den at nite was free karaoke time. we juz sit and chat la.
22/6 - last day at china! haa. spent the day at chong qing..but the tour guide was not gd at all la. we had few hrs to shop in the aftnn, den dinner was their famous chong qing ma la huo guo. erm..i dun really like it la..haa. too numb for my liking..haa. the spicy part was still ok, but i dun like it when my tongue was numb..haa. at nite went to see their nite scenery which wasnt as great as wad the guide said. n we din even view it on a higher level or sth..it was juz by a road side, which we can see the yangtze river and buildings w nice lightings. reached the airport at 11pm to fly home!

went for lunch which was mushrooms pot..yummy~ especially with their noodles..muahha. den was the long long journey to 宜昌 for us to take ship to cruise the yangtze river. the rain delayed the bus journey, and by the time we reached the harbour to take ship it was already ard 9pm. on the bus, the tour guide taught us to sing 山歌, their folk songs, and she chose ppl to go to the front of the bus to sing la! me n bro both got 'chosen'. our tour grp was actually quite small..15 ppl only, with 4 children (including meeee..lol). the other 2 children were 11 and 15 yrs old..n the rest were parents and 2 grandparents. so actually all of us got along quite well la.
19/6 - woke up at 6+ again, for breakfast at 730am. for the 3 days on ship, the breakfast serve almost the same food..zzz. but the soup noodles was v tasty..n i got sick of eating eggs..lol. there was only 70+ ppl on board, and we had fixed seats inside the restaurant. we split into 2 tables, and had one waiter assigned to serve juz our 2 tables. the rest of the passengers were from shen zhen, and HK. the service was vv good..asked for our comments after each meals. for lunch, we had 豆沙包 as one of the dish, which was vv delicious! so we told the waiter, and he said he could change one of the dish, which doesnt taste as nice, to dou sha bao tml lunch..wahh! lol. again, we had lots of dishes for lunch and dinner on the ship also. even more than prev days, because they have many more appetizers b4 the main course..haa. oh, after breakfast, we disembark and went on shore to view the dam. bro din join us cos he was sick!
after lunch, went to the deck to see how the ship sail past the 闸门. the ships have to go thru 5 of these because the difference in water levels on the upstream and downstream were too great. so the ships have to go inside and den close the gates for the water level to be raised, and go thru to the other zha men n so on. the whole process to go thru 5 gates took abt 3hrs.
20/6 - after breakfast disembark and changed to a smaller boat to view the 小山峡..shd be valley ba. as the morn was quite cold, there was a layer of fog on top of the lake..wooo..beautiful! hahaha. went back for lunch, and funny..the waiter was abit paiseh, cos the chef said tt they dun have enough red bean paste to make the buns and he apologised to us..haa. at nite there was a game 'party', and for all games there was always at least one rep from each place..haa. me n bro played 2 of the games also. one was we had to place a balloon between our backs and den turn ard to make the balloon between our stomachs n den burst it. the other was solo where we had to throw rings ard a bottle.
21/6 - last day on cruise! disembark to view valley again in the morn, den slack in the aftnn. they always arrange programs, but some of the programs are quite bored la..so i rather go up to the deck..hahah. if not stay inside rm n slack n watch movies..they have movies marathons on board..haa. den at nite was free karaoke time. we juz sit and chat la.
22/6 - last day at china! haa. spent the day at chong qing..but the tour guide was not gd at all la. we had few hrs to shop in the aftnn, den dinner was their famous chong qing ma la huo guo. erm..i dun really like it la..haa. too numb for my liking..haa. the spicy part was still ok, but i dun like it when my tongue was numb..haa. at nite went to see their nite scenery which wasnt as great as wad the guide said. n we din even view it on a higher level or sth..it was juz by a road side, which we can see the yangtze river and buildings w nice lightings. reached the airport at 11pm to fly home!

lalala, back from china~!! before i start to write long stories on the trip, shall first blog abt today! now the 4 of us are free, so can take turns to go down n tend the stall..work only 4 days a wk..yay! hahah. so i off todae n tml and sat cos sat will be celebrating ah ma birthday.
today went tam hse to slack..her hse lots of entertainment la. got pool table (9 feet some more!!), PS 2, mahjong, n ETC..LOL. gd place to slack..hahaha. den kok joined us for dinner after her interview. ate zhu chao, den talk talk talk..lol. reached home at abt 9+. dennnnnnnnn at 10+ almost 11, jackson asked me n kok out for supper. ahhh, shdnt have bathed so early la! lol. so had supper at the 24hr coffee shop at cck interchange. during the whole meal, kok was super high. she kept talking and laughing la! LOL. duno wad caused it..2 hrs ago, she was still quite normal..but somehow i tink playing audition makes her high..hahahha. ohh, den goonz me, i put my whole wallet w keys inside kok's bag n 4gt to take back..reach my lift le den realise..HAHAH. have to call her to come down again..HAHA. not like we stay v far from each other..lalala~. supper was jackson's treat though..hahaha. thks! really broke now..no time to teach tuition so no income..haaa

15/6 - flight to shen zhen was at 7 or 7+ am..reached the airport quite early. n was quite hungry, so bought BK breakfast..lol. quite pig, but i was really quite hungry, usually too early in the morn i wun have much appetite, but for tt day i was quite abnormal. reached shen zhen airport at abt 11am, den we had to wait for the 'tour guide'!! faints lo..where got tour guide late de..den we had to call the singapore tour agency, the china one oso..cmi. bad impression of her already..heng her job was only to take us to lunch and send us to take the domestic flight in the aftnn to chang sha (长沙) at hu nan (湖南). reach chang sha n saw the tour guide. first impression was: she seems v young..looks like shes not even 20. she was actually 21 la..still v young. went for dinner at some restaurant and den to hotel to rest for the nite le. all the lunch and dinner at china were 10 dishes and one soup..v kong bu..lol. n i rem for the 1st 2 days, we ate stir-fried cucumber w meat and brinjal for the lunches and dinners !! n beer were served for all lunch and dinners there too. but the alcohol content was not v high la..ard 2-4%. taste abit sweet oso.
16/6 - wake up call at 6am!! so early manz!! had breakfast at the hotel..n gosh, it was quite terrible. apart from the quality and quantity of the food which i shall not comment first..there werent even enough plates, cups, cutlery!! n most of the food were gone and not replenished. the tour guide later explained tt it was cause they had duno wad 14 korean tour grps or sth..but still..
left the place at 745am n travel on coach for abt 4 hrs to reach zhang jia jie (张家界). so now, zhang jia jie is still not v accessible as compared to most other places..but the scenery there is beautiful. well, when it becomes more accessible, the place will also be more commercialised..hah. the ppl there mainly depends on tourism to make a living and red light district. reached there and had lunch and den went to bao feng lake (宝峰湖). its a lake on a mountain..quite amazing. lots of hills and other mountains oso. had to walk up the mountain which was quite tiring..too long nv exercise..lol. the scene on the top was definitely worth the walk. there was also a half natural waterfall..it was a natural waterfall, but they man-made part was that they increased the volume of the water falling down..haha.
next stop went to a shop for foot massage and to 泡脚 in some herbal water. the water was so hot la..more den 40 deg! siaoz. waited quite long until the water cooled abit den put feet inside..lol. i din do the massage too, cos they said have to be 22 and above if not there will be side effects..i m not yet 22!! but the foot massage like nth one..see them do and hear my parents comments..lol. they seem to anyhow massage only. went back hotel to take a rest and den had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. this hotel is v good man..the rm is spacious and bed and pillows and shower were good..lol. after dinner, we went to watch a show performance which was about the different cultural customs of the 3 different grps of ppl at zhang jiajie as well as those impressive performance like walking on fire blah.

its the 4th day since my stall has opened! so tiring!! working 12 hrs a day, slping abt 5-6 hrs a day and spending 3-4 hrs on transport~! but i tink i have sort of gotten used to it le..one night rest is enough to relieve my legs from aches the next day, though by the late aftnn, my legs ll be tired again. but i ll be hot n sticky from 10+ am to until i reach home at abt 12+ mn. my poor sensitive skin cant take it as usual, and ll itch and have some rashes at nite..zzz
everyday has been quite routine..doing mostly the same stuffs. reached the place at abt 10am n start preparing (cleaning the place and stuffs cos its quite dusty there, cutting fruits, preparing other ingredients..), den 11+, 12 noon do the lunch crowd business. until abt 2pm, we start to rest abit, have lunch and den we start preparing ingredients again like freezing our 'special' ice..hahah, and cut fruits (mainly only mangoes..take such a long time to cut them!!! ZZzz) i muz master the art of cutting mangoes and be 神刀手!!! HAHA. at nite usually we pack up at abt 10 or 10+, if we have to take public transport, if we have car to take home, den ll do unitl slightly later..hahaa
the 5 star chicken rice staffs are all v nice ppl man..have been helping us quite alot, especially the captain, and sometimes we also feel bad abt asking them for help..hahaha. n they eat our ice quite often oso~~ cos its niceeeeeee..LOL! ok la, partly cos the weather is damn hot..hahah. business seems ok..but since our stall is new, hopefully we can expect more customers and regular customers to come..which all depends on word of mouth..hahahaha. we are still in the midst of doing up the place to make it more attractive cos the wall inside the stall doesnt really look v nice, n its bare and plain..so have to make it looks better. but given our limited time at home, its hard to be efficient..hahaa
i tink i m burning alot of calories daily..anyone interested in burning calories can volunteer to help at the stall..HAHAHA..i dun charge $$ !!

finally got half a day for me to slack~! not much of a time for me to take a breather after exams man, and i tink i seriously need one v long break to get rid of the 'drained' feeling.
anyway, there are currently 3 major things which is keeping me v busy..FYP, prepare for the opening of the stall and cousin's wedding!! hahah. will be opening a stall 20th+ may to sell the ice desserts..n theres really quite alot of preparatory work though its juz a small stall.
Mon (7th) and thurs (10th) were spent at fren hse to discuss abt the stall stuffs. Mon was still quite ok and i met mag for dinner..hoho. fortunately due to my not-so-good throat, we din end up having LJS AGAIN. thurs was madness. spent 12 hrs at their hse, sooner or later it gonna be my 2nd home le, or rahter, maybe the future stall ll be my 2nd home..lolz. was so tired when i got home. oh den winnie asked me to help her edit her chinese essay..OMG!! now i truely understand how badly has my chinese deteriorated~~ HAHAHA.
Tue went back sch to meet with fyp supervisor..ahhhh..ok la, i tink i din get shot alot but becos i wasnt present during the 1st draft meeting, i wasnt really able to argue with some of the things she ask us to change. Wed stayed home and edited the project. well, ok..i admit i did slack some time on Wed oso..hahaha.
Fri was oso hectic..morn went to sch to pass my supervisor the draft 1 n 2 hardcopies (go to sch to juz slide the papers under her door..zzZz). den met winnie (cousin) to shop for dress. need to buy one cos we will be under my cousin's jie mei tuan during the BIG DAY! hahaha. went far east, heerens and bugis but couldnt find any suitable one..though we only spent like ard 4hrs shopping ba. den went down to pasir ris for the jie mei meeting cum bbq~ ok, wasnt tt shou with her frens, but liddat lor..hahaha. reached home at abt 2am (another cousin drove us cousins home).
sat morn arranged to meet with the boss of the shop that we were gg to rent a stall from, and me n my fren waited for him for like 2 hrs!! ahhhh..den we only talk for like ard half an hr cos he was busy..zzzzz. after tt rushed down to orchard to meet winnie again to continue our hunt for dress..lol. later meet another cousin, cindy jie to shop at marina square and finally manage to buy one at MNA..hee..niceeeeee..hahahha.
today woke up at 730 to teach tuitions...so slpy man. but was pissed off cos when i boarded the train, my student den tell me that she need to study other subject todae and cant have tuition..ZZzzz. but luckily, my 2nd student was able to start tuition earlier, so juz went straight to her hse, if not i ll be vv pissed. always cancel tuition last min and worse still, i had to wake up soooooo early laaaa..i need my beauty slp lo! aftnn went out to lunch with ah ma at crystal jade. n den its home sweet home~ took a NAP, not juz my normal bi mu yang shen..ahhaa..but the nap was quite short only la, auto woke up after 1 hr i tink.
i need MORE shopping.

end of exams 2 days ago! at least i ll be freed from burying myself under the notes and books for 3 mths..haha. Still got fyp to settle, but soon it ll be over and done with (or i definitely hope so!) next wk gonna meet my supervisor ALONE..GOSH!! she better not be in a bad mood cos i cant take her attacks single-handedly.
ohhh..and the slping monster had come to bug me..zzz..hahah. i tink it ll be ard for at least a few more days..LOL. but the eating monster inside me is gone gone gone! as proven by dinner this 2 days..hahah. get full easily and ate lesser den before, but i cant rem when it started. no more buffets..sobz..lollllll

HOORAYYYY~! well done for my 2 papers these 2 days man.
could only do half of the MB paper and nearly could not finish it. 7 qns in 2 hrs is near impossible. theres no time to think thru clearly and structure the ans properly..i juz wrote wadeva came to my mind. n theres so many application qns where we had to tink of examples on the spot. gosh. stupidity: i did extra research on one of the technical terms which they mention in the notes but din explain. it came out, but i din noe it was about tt. yay!!
nevertheless, made a even stupid mistake todae for the forecasting paper. had to choose 3 out of 4 qns for 2nd section. n i had to give up on the easiest qns because i din see the formula in the formula sheet. right. how smart. 30 marks gone juz like that, and ended up having no choice but to do the 2 difficult qns. was so angry and disappointed with myself that i had to escape to the toilet after the paper to calm myself down abit. Ahhhhh. freak.
